چکیده
Pregibit: A Family of Discrete Choice Models The pregibit discrete choice model is built on a distribution that allows symmetry or asymmetry and thick tails, thin tails or no tails. Thus the model is much richer than the traditional models that are typically used to study behavior that generates discrete choice outcomes. Pregibit nests logit, approximately nests probit, loglog, cloglog and gosset models, and yields a linear probability model that is solidly founded on the discrete choice framework that underlies logit and probit. JEL Classification: C25, G21, I21

On Calibration and Application of Logit-Based Stochastic Traffic Assignment Models
There is a growing recognition that discrete choice models are capable of providing a more realistic picture of route choice behavior. In particular, influential factors other than travel time that are found to affect the choice of route trigger the application of random utility models in the route choice literature. This paper focuses on path-based, logit-type stochastic route choice models, i...
متن کاملProbit and nested logit models based on fuzzy measure
Inspired by the interactive discrete choice logit models [Aggarwal, 2019], this paper presents the advanced families of discrete choice models, such as nested logit, mixed logit, and probit models to consider the interaction among the attributes. Besides the DM's attitudinal character is also taken into consideration in the computation of choice probabilities. The proposed choice models make us...
متن کاملOn Rank-Ordered Nested Multinomial Logit Model and D-Optimal Design for this Model
In contrast to the classical discrete choice experiment, the respondent in a rank-order discrete choice experiment, is asked to rank a number of alternatives instead of the preferred one. In this paper, we study the information matrix of a rank order nested multinomial logit model (RO.NMNL) and introduce local D-optimality criterion, then we obtain Locally D-optimal design for RO.NMNL models in...
متن کاملA Direct Demand Model of Departure Time and Mode for Intercity Passenger Trips
Travel demand is well announced as a crucial component of transportation planning. This paper aims to develop a direct demand model, denoting a more acceptable abstraction of reality, for intercity passengers in daily work and leisure trips in Tehran province. The model utilizes combined estimation across the data source, collected in 2011, of travelers originating from ...
متن کاملEffect of family structure on urban areas modal split by using the life cycle concept
The modal split model is one of the steps of the classical four-step travel demand planning. Predictive, descriptive, and prescriptive modal split models are essential to make a balance between travel demand and supply. To calibrate these models, it is necessary to detect and employ influential independent variables that are related to characteristics of travel modes, individual and family attr...
